What does it mean to align with the will of God?

What does it mean to align with the will of God? To some this might sound like we have to give something up – to behave in some perfect manner – to live a life of sacrifice. But, coming into alignment is not a subservient act as the ego mind might tell you. It’s rather a pure desire and intention to seek for that which is for one’s greatest good. It’s to seek for a perfect remembrance of who we truly are as loving divine beings who have nothing to fear.
When our desire is to align with the will of God, It’s a beautifully refreshing feeling. We can let go of the defense mechanisms we have engaged with most of our life. We can let go of the need to compete with other people. We can let go of comparisons between our journey and other peoples’ journeys. We can let go of beliefs about ourselves as less than others. We can let go of the need to be right. We can just empty ourselves of all those thought and behavior patterns and rather live moment to moment seeking to think in alignment with the mind of God, which is our divine nature of Love – the Holy Spirit – the right mind – the space where peace lives.
Seeking to live in alignment is seeking for a life filled with joy and happiness that comes from letting go – from allowing things to be as they are – from letting go of judgements – and from cultivating a practice of forgiveness. It starts with a pure desire and intention and an appreciation for all things that come our way as part of our personal path to the freedom we all desire.
Aligning with the will of God is the path to the Love we all are – to the inner joy we want to feel – to the peace we all desire. And – to freedom. And it is always one choice away.
